(JNN) – Nintendo Direct has happened every September since 1996. It’s unlikely they will end this 25 year tradition in 2021. So that means you can expect the next direct to happen soon… and guess who has the scoop? That’s right, the entire Direct was leaked to us, and oh boy, this is going to be a big one.
First, you will see an animated intro for the next big update to Animal Crossing. Isabelle and KK are drinking coffee at what appears to be a cafe. They wave to someone off screen, the camera pans over to reveal Brewster.
Then you hear a Japanese voice, followed by a generic white guy voice relaying a translation of their statements. they said that Brewster was going to be part of a huge “Booming Business” update. Where 3 new stores will be available in this update, dropping this winter. more info to come.
Next up there was a trailer for the next installment in the Metroid series, Metroid 34. Announced late 2020, this Direct decided to spoil the ending by premiering the final moments of Metroid 34. The last scene Samus dies, and is her suit takes on her consciousness, blurring the concept of life and death. Woh.
Next they will announce 19 new indie titles, some premiering for the first time ever. One that caught out eye was called Overpass
Overpass is a game where you collect trash under a freeway. The goal of this game is to clean and maintain the I405 until it’s spotless. If that wasn’t interesting enough, your existence is controlled by a social credit score. Once you pay off your social debt, you can raise through the ranks of being a trashman.
Next Nintendo will announce an accessory for the switch that allows you to use the console as a watch. That’s right, gaming on your wrist. The idea is that you can play touch games. When you’re not using it, you can simply hold out your arm, and your buddies can enjoy games on the go!
Finally the credits roll, and the stream ends. That was quite an interesting… wait a minute…
Ladies and gentlemen. They announced Among Us for Smash. Guys. I can’t believe what I just wrote. That’s right Smash is officially sus. Who asked for this? 8 year olds. Who’s gonna main them? 23 year olds with more Gfuel than I can show 2 eyeballs.
There is no chance that this is possible, I am not sure if… wait…. Oh, it was an imposter. The real smash reveal was Baby Mario characters. Literally all of them, even Dr.Mario. As usual no Waluigi.
The Baby Mario bros characters will be available after the stream today. So Smash online will be filled with the pitter patter of neckbeards flirting with a possible new main.
