Like it’s one thing if I’m lowballing some dude on ebay or discord to get a rare vintage toy or using a coupon to get 90% off at Hot Topic – they didn’t MAKE the thing and there’s thousands or maybe even millions of copies of them around the world – but if I’m buying something that’s uniquely me, or hell even just merch from a small independent artist or small business I’d RATHER pay more cuz they need that to survive and like, Actually Live Comfortably as opposed to some huge company worth millions of dollars that makes products for pennies and sells them for 100 times as much, or some dude on ebay who’s just trying to make space in their attic

All the tom fulp stories are so cool but make me a lil jealous cuz nowadays it feels like even small content creators dont give a crap about u unless uve got a bajillion subscribers or are crazy super talented – i rly wanna get into making my own lil films about trains and some about my ocs and stuff but whenever i ask ppl for help and advice or recommendations of like, basic tools and supplies, i get ignored or blocked
